⭐ May the Fourth Stars Recap – A Galactic Success at Event Horizon Hobbies!

Wow — what an amazing Star Wars Day at Event Horizon Hobbies! 🚀✨
Our May the Fourth Stars celebration brought the galaxy right to Midland, and the turnout was incredible! Thank you to everyone who showed up in costume, grabbed a lightsaber, learned a new game, or simply came to support the Midland & District OSPCA 🐾.

From morning till late afternoon, our store was filled with epic cosplay, lightsaber battles, Baby Yoda (Grogu) art, and that sweet nostalgic hum of John Williams’ music in the background.

📸 Cosplay & Photo Fun

Our Star Wars green screen photo booth was an absolute hit — with backdrops ranging from the Death Star to the sands of Tatooine! We had Jedi, Sith, bounty hunters, and even a pint-sized Chewbacca. Congrats to our costume contest winner who walked away with a Star Wars goodie basket!

🖼️ Baby Yoda Canvas Painting Workshop

This pre-registered event sold out fast — and the creativity was strong with this one! Our youngest Padawans painted their hearts out while parents snapped pics of their little artists bringing Grogu to life.

🥤 Tatooine Blue Milk Boba Tea & Popcorn

We rolled out our limited-edition Blue Milk bubble tea for one day only — and it was gone in hyperspace! Fans lined up for this tasty Star Wars twist, with free popcorn on the side keeping everyone fueled.

🎮 Star Wars Game Demos
We had packed demo tables for both Star Wars: Unlimited and Star Wars: Legion — with guests learning the ropes and diving into galactic battles. Whether it was commanding armies or collecting cards, new fans were made and dice were rolled!

🎭 Stormtrooper Helmet Workshop
Our afternoon helmet painting session was a massive hit. Hobbyists turned 3D-printed helmets into custom masterpieces worthy of any Star Wars collector shelf.

🎨 Kid Zone Fun
We also had a free colouring and activity station, which kept younglings entertained and creative all day long!

💙 Supporting the OSPCA

All day long, fans brought pet food and cash donations to support the Midland & District OSPCA, and we’re thrilled to say it made a real impact! Whether you dropped some change in the donation jar or brought in a bag of kibble — thank you for being a force for good in our community.
